JONATHAN WIDDIFIELD

 

 

This is Jonathan’s first season with the Humber River Shakespeare Company and he is excited to be with such a fun and creative group of artists.  Originally from small town Alberta, he now resides in Toronto as an Actor and Photographer.

Selected theatre credits include:  The Doctor’s Dilemma, John Bull’s Other Island, Born Yesterday, Christy Dudgeon in The Devil’s Disciple, The Stepmother, Mrs Warren’s Profession (The Shaw Festival).  Hamlet in Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, and Othello (The Classical Theatre Project); The Fan (Scaramouche Theatre); Shakespeare on Love (Theatre by the Bay.)

 

Selected film and television credits include:  Defnotes, The 9 O’Clock, They’re Here, and To the Victor; as well as various commercials.  Voice work for animation include: The Adventures of Dex Hamilton and Truth about Crumbs.  He is a graduate of Sheridan Institute’s Music Theatre program, and Red Deer College’s Acting Program.  Credits from these institutions include The Music Man, Berlin to Broadway (Theatre Sheridan); Richard III and Mozart in Amadeus (Red Deer College).

 

Jonathan was nominated for a Dora Award for Outstanding Performance as Mercutio for The Classical Theatre Project’s Romeo and Juliet.   As always, much love goes out to his family and friends for their unwavering support and love.  Peace.
